Right Source Marketing is a marketing consulting firm that provides clients with a unique blend of strategic consulting and interactive marketing services.  With offices in the Washington DC and Baltimore areas, the firm works with over 30 clients to create unique, effective and measurable solutions to each organization’s particular marketing challenges.

Our Story

Firm principals Will Davis and Mike Sweeney worked together frequently while running their own shops that preceded Right Source Marketing.  During that time, both shared some common observations about many of the clients they were working with:

1. Most organizations understand the internet and its marketing potential, however, 75% of organizations do not have a comprehensive internet marketing plan in place.  Many of those same organizations do not even have a corporate marketing plan in place.

2. Any good marketing plan should tie back into broad business goals and return on investment goals, yet most businesses fail to track their marketing plan and individual tactics in a comprehensive manner.

3. The average organization does not have necessary in-house staff and specialists necessary to organize and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy.

Davis and Sweeney spent time exploring the various models under which consulting and agency services were being delivered, including the models their current firms were using.  What they found is that the typical agency does not have the talent or corporate background to provide strategic consulting services, and the typical consulting firm does not offer critical interactive marketing services that turn a strategy into results. 

Davis and Sweeney began discussing the possibility of bringing their firms together when they reached one final observation:  many companies were struggling with whether to outsource, insource or use existing staff to execute their marketing plans. 

The firm’s name – Right Source Marketing – reflects the firm’s primary value proposition to its client base.  We help organizations build their marketing strategy, organize the structure to accommodate that strategy, and deliver the specific services to execute that strategy.  We do this through a unique model that provides senior level strategic consulting as well as specific services that cover every area of an organization’s marketing plan.
