A Right Source Marketing account director is responsible for managing client relationships, providing strategic marketing direction, and leading a team of specialists to create and deliver strategy and tactics to address client goals.

Able to handle multiple projects with a high degree of confidence, independence, and sound judgment, the account director guides and works collaboratively with our team of specialists (creative, content, social media and digital). He/she has experience in marketing strategy and healthcare communications. The ideal candidate understands contemporary communications, the nuances of the healthcare industry, and is savvy in developing insights-based strategies that will connect with our clients’ audiences. You should have a familiarity with leveraging insights to build and manage social media/digital marketing communications campaigns in the highly regulated healthcare space.

You are:

A Strategist:  Develops and oversees creation of client strategy, leveraging skills and experience to push clients, and the agency, creatively and strategically. You guide teammates to ensure that strategy and deliverables are addressing goals and providing value.
A Leader: Guides teams to provide the utmost level of client service. You show both clients and colleagues that you are a thinker and a decision-maker.
Entrepreneurial: You’re a self-starter with an ownership mentality. You get things done.
Communicative: You communicate consistently and clearly with clients and team members to build trust and achieve goals. We need someone who will serve as a trusted counsel to our clients and who possesses a profound understanding of the clients’ audiences, industries, and brands.

This position will be remote until summer 2020, at which point it will be based in our new, Washington, D.C. office.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare strategic marketing and operational plans that include long-term and short-term goals
  • Oversee and manage account team deliverables to ensure that the ideas and deliverables are aligned with established strategy; suggest revisions and course corrections as necessary
  • Manage client teams and budgets
  • Motivate team members to exceed expected goals
  • Create and present reports on account progress, goals, and return-on-investment
  • Expand client engagements by understanding the client’s needs and offering solutions
  • Develop and build strong relationship between clients, internal team members, and partners
  • Act as a liaison to effectively communicate client needs, project status, rationale, KPIs, and new business opportunities
  • Work with creative and project teams to prepare creative briefs, facilitate internal kickoffs, and translate client objectives into project specifications
  • Manage digital, print, social, mobile, broadcast and promotional campaigns; be able to make recommendations and offer insights for clients
  • Prepare budget tracking and reporting (agency profitability and project costs)

What you’ll need:

You’re an accomplished marketer and strategist with 5-7 years of content marketing experience (at least 3-5 years in healthcare). Agency experience is a plus.

You’ll also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • Proven experience and success with healthcare strategy and marketing
  • Exceptional project management, problem-solving skills
  • Leadership experience to build collaboration and inspire ideation among team members
  • Bold and confident communications skills
  • High standards and a drive to deliver the highest quality work on time for clients
  • Content/marketing background including:
    • Understanding of content optimization, distribution, and measurement
    • Experience with digital marketing tactics, including organic and paid social, email marketing, and more.
  • Agency experience and/or experience managing client relationships.
  • Ambition, creativity, and a fanatic love for details.
  • Ownership mentality
